June 17, 2020
I want to thank you for your tremendous patience as we have navigated this unprecedented situation with our partners at WorldStrides. We have worked closely with our contact there, and together we have decided that it is not an option to travel this year. As such, we have canceled the rescheduled date of August 8-9th, 2020. We are excited to announce that the trip has a new travel date of May 29-30, 2021.
Going forward you have several options. They are as follows:
You can do nothing and have your already paid funds applied to the 7th/8th grade Springfield Trip that will take place May 29-30, 2021. If you are staying on the trip and have not purchased the Full Refund Program, you have until October 1, 2020 to purchase the program which is recommended.
You can join the Washington D.C. Trip (NEW DATES) and roll over all money paid to that program if you do not wish to travel to Springfield/ St. Louis. You can visit 204trips.com/dc-trip to find out more about that amazing experience.
You may cancel your trip for a FULL refund by July 4, 2020. This includes the cost of the Full Refund program (FRP) if you had purchased that option. After that date you will not be eligible for a full refund. If you have already indicated your intention to cancel to WorldStrides in writing, no action is required on your part to begin the refund process. Please note your exact refund amount may vary depending on what you’ve paid in toward your trip cost at this time. You can log-into your account on MyTrip to view what you paid toward your trip. If you need additional clarification or need to cancel, you can reach out directly to WorldStrides’ Customer Support at 800-468-5899. Due to the high volume of refunds being processed, WorldStrides has asked for your understanding on timing. Families can expect to receive refunds in 8 –10 weeks from your cancellation date.
I’m excited to travel with those of you who can join us on our new travel dates in May 2021. You have worked so hard and I know we are all missing out on so much right now and this trip is going to be a great reward after getting through this difficult period. It is a wonderful trip that creates life-long memories for our students. We remain steadfast in our resolve to give our students a quality, exciting, and memorable trip next year.
